Need help now 1971 c10 won't start
My truck is a 1971 c10 I was driving it this morning and I was running fine and all of a sudden cut off and now attempts to start has fuel but will not run also my lights are very dim when I attempt to start but don't think it is the battery please help

start by checking the small wire going from the + battery terminal to the insulated stand off on the passenger fender. a quick check...

Do you have a voltmeter, or a multitester? If so, measure the voltage at the coil. You should have 9 volts or higher there.
If you do, the problem is either the coil, the points, the condenser, the cap, or the rotor. If you do not, start with the basics. Clean battery terminals thoroughly. Check the small wire as mentioned by hamjet. If those are OK, it begins to look like the ignition switch. Quick check for that is to run a wire from the positive battery terminal to the coil (connect to the terminal that does NOT go to the distributor. If you have HEI, I cannot help, as I have no experience.

Okay power feed wire fell out of solderless conecter and hit a another terminal and fried my 12 volt relay , put on a new conecter and relay an..... is started up atnd ran fine thanks guys
