Power steering woes
Oh boy, looks like im gonna be replacing the psp on my 78 its been leakin for a while now but now its starting to do the death squeal and i cant take it anymore lol.banghead: Any imput on how this is accomplished the easiest would be helpful

Mine was simple.
Drain reservoir, remove 3 bolts, pull pump. Remove pulley, place on new pump, place on truck, tighten belt, fill reservoir That's on a truck with no AC. If you have AC, I'm not sure if there's anything you have to move out of the way on our trucks. The most trouble I had was trying to figure out why the new pump wouldn't match up to my bracket. Figured out my bracket is from a 77 or thereabouts and my pump was from an 86. So in hindsight, I would've taken the old pump and bracket in to get the correct match in the first place.

only thing to add to chic's response is to remove the hi pressure and low pressure line and for that you wanna use a line wrench. its pretty easy a job half hour forty minutes tops
