fuel tank replacement
I have a 85 GMC 4x4 and I was wanting to add a tank between the rails in back and was wondering with it being a shortbed is there room for a suburban or blazer tank to fit

Re: fuel tank replacement
There is plenty of room. I just installed a blazer tank on mu short bed k10 a few days ago. You just have to move the cross member to the rear, and move the spare tire cross member to the top, and forward. It's a pretty easy install, you have to give some thought as to what you will do for a filler though.

Re: fuel tank replacement
I have a stepside with current tank fillers in the front of the fenders and was thinking of putting one at the rear of the fender with one of the same doors to give it as close to a factory look as possible

Here is a picture for you. You might have to get a little creative with the fill neck, but I bet you could make it work.
