K10 drum brake clip ID?
These clips came in the spring kit for the drum brakes on a 86 k10. I've never them before and can't find any info on them. Anybody know what there for?

Re: K10 drum brake clip ID?
They go in the adjuster slots in the backing plate to help keep dirt, dust, and water out.

Re: K10 drum brake clip ID?
I had this same question a while ago, and as said above they're for the adjusters.
BUT if your backing plates are like mine they don't have any holes for adjustment. Some people said they had a 'knock out' but mine don't have that either. |

Re: K10 drum brake clip ID?
Some brake backing plates have the knockouts for adjusting the star wheel, some don't.
Some have the knockouts on the brake drum and the tire/wheel has to be removed to adjust the brakes. It's weird, there is no consistency. Guess that would make too much sense.
