71/72 front brake hoses

Seems there's some options out there but I've read that some are shorter than others. I have '84 dually disks on my '68 and need hoses.

Thanks,
Jon

'84 dually disks? What does that look like? Did you build a DIY big brake kit?

Re hoses: probably any will do provided they are the correct length. I'd take one of the old ones to a parts house and just match it with another brake line.

Re: 71/72 front brake hoses

I had 4 wheel drums on my '68 one ton dually that I switched to disks with an '84 dually front end.

There's one of the rotors on the left.

I don't have a hose from a 71/72 to match up.....

Re: 71/72 front brake hoses

Nobody has a 71/72 2wd dually that can measure their front brake hoses?

Re: 71/72 front brake hoses

I can try to measure tomorrow if it is not raining. I have a 69 I did a disc swap on with the newer rotor assy. If I recall when I did the swap, the right side was a different hose because of the drum brake hard line. The hard line had a larger tubing nut than the left side. All in all what I did was have the hoses custom made for the difference. There is no "off the shelf hose" that I know of unless you add some adapter/reducer. The next thing for an off the shelf deal is to replace the hard line going across the cross member to the T inside the frame rail.

Re: 71/72 front brake hoses

I thought the factory hoses were supposed to be different, that's why there were two different p/n's?
