Re: Door hinge restoration on a 1947-54 Chevrolet pickup
Saw several similar videos some time ago and rebuilt a spare set last week. The hacksaw trick works best. Some kits come with brass bushings that seem like they are really for only extremely worn hinges. Of note is that we replaced both my drivers side hinges today. They have been in service over 25 years. Found one broken spring on the upper but the lower was ok. I replaced the lower back then with just a bolt and nut. Both hinge housing faceplates were damaged and not salvageable.

That should help a lot of guys Orrie. It's one of those easy but tedious jobs.
