Good thing cameras don't use film anymore. It oiled have cost him $1000 in film alone! GEEZ did he post enough 3/4 front and rear views? Holy crap.

I give an "A" for concept and effort.
An "A" for the interior as long as you like turquoise. I do, lots of people don't.
But I give an "F" for the fake patina - lame.
And I personally dislike bagged trucks but especially Burbs. They're supposed to have some utility. I can't think of a Suburban running that camber having ANY utility.

Pretty good bs artist writing that. Interesting truck but If I had the coin to buy it I'd also have the coin to have it drop shipped to a quality paint shop for a real paint job before it ever made it to my garage. The patina thing doesn't spin my wheels in the least.

At 40 K starting bid and that might not being the reserve he may be waiting a seriously long time for someone to buy it.

I did take notice of his shortened rear seat (I know a guy that did something similar). I was also trying to see if he used the stock frame or an S-10. I didn't invest too much time trying to figure it out.

Corvette suspension YR That alone is worth a few K over any frame swap truck in my book.

From his long dissertation on the truck:

This Suburban rides and handles awesome, courtesy of the c4 Corvette front suspension, steering, and brakes. This gives you aluminum upper and lower control arms power rack and pinion steering, corvette disc brake setup with big calipers. The rear has a triangulated 4 link, step notch, and has been tubbed to allow the truck to lay flat on the ground! Th truck steers and handle awesome.

This Suburban runs, drives, and rides awesome. I have had lots of early pickups with air ride, and the combination of the corvette suspension and the shockwaves is awesome. The truck is very drivable and cruises nicely at any speed. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.

Actually if the burb had a shiny and really decent solid turquoise or what ever that had the high gloss shine and was show quality I'd really like it but the fake rust just doesn't do it.

It's beautiful, and nicer than anything I will ever have, but I agree with most of the previous comments. I had to skip through a lot of redundant pictures to get to a pic of the engine. I must say that that is the most realistic looking rust that I have ever seen painted on a vehicle, but I don't think I would have done it. The rest of the paint looks too good for a few spots of rust to make it look like genuine patina. One thing that caught my eye was the water hose clamp holding the turn signal switch on the steering column, but that might be there to help give it the "old truck" look.
I'm not criticizing it at all. It's a beauty and not priced cheap, but would probably cost more than the opening bid to duplicate.

Isn't it amazing how so many have different opinions!

Love this truck! Maybe cause it reminds me of me engine and wheel colors!

not a fauxtina fan either, but we have enough members here with fauxtina that some of the comments could be disparaging towards their builds

I like it...lots of work in it. Some things I would change but not much. It is funny...went from never seeing these to seeing them everywhere. Still hard to find and hard you find parts or build your own, I don't think people know what it takes to build these big boats. Keep kicking around selling mine.
