How do you attach 3 point mirrors?

I am wondering the best way to attach 3 point mirrors. Is it just bolts and nuts? I have the holes in the door already. Is there something I can put between the mirror and door to keep water from leaking into the door?

Re: How do you attach 3 point mirrors?

GM used to use a plastic-coated molly -- like you would use with drywall, but made for attaching mirrors -- with a stainless steel bolt to attache the mirror. The plastic coating served as a washer to keep the moisture out. If you can't find anything at your auto parts store, you might try LMC, Classic Parts or Fastenall.
