1972 trailing arm crossmember
hey guys, I have a 72 c10 longbed and I bought a trailing arm crossmember from LMC, essentially it came from cpp, but I'm hearing that this wont work with a long bed truck , is this true and why?

It should be the same for long or short.

the long beds have the carrier bearing there for the driveshaft. swb do not have the provisions for the bearing for the two piece driveshafts. look at pbfab.com and see their 2 different photos for options for a better understanding of what im getting at.

Yes it will work with a long wheelbase. Both short wheelbase and long wheelbase trucks came from the factory with a two piece driveshaft and carrier bearing, although there are at least three different types of carrier bearings. If you plan to keep your two piece driveshaft you need the carrier bearing bracket that bolts to the crossmember (which is mentioned on their website).
