C20-K20 Rear woodgrain Tailgate strip

Hey guys I have a standard tailgate that has the sunk in chevy across the tail gate. Im wanting to put on the wood grain trim package on my truck and was wondering if the rear woodgrain tailgate strip will cover the sunk in chevy letters

Pictured is my style tailgate and what I hope will cover the letters

All trucks use the same tailgate. The trim band was designed to cover the stamped letters
