YEP THATS IT. I PAID $150 FOR IT, BUT THEN I GOT 2 OF EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE SHIFTER MECHANISM ITSELF. THE CABLE IS $34 & THE T-HANDLE IS $22 SO IT IS A PRETTY GOOD BARGAIN AT $120. LETS GIVE TRUCKREQS TILL TOMORROW EVENING TO RESPOND & THEN IT'S YOURS. JOHN

I BELIEVE THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO IS THE HEIGHT OF THE BASE, & SHIFTER MECHANISM. I THINK THE LIGHT TRUCK MEGASHIFTER IS ABOUT 2 1/2" OR 3" TALLER.

I have the truck MegaShifter in my truck, I like the shifting characteristics of the Star shifter MUCH better, Maybe just an opinion, but I do not like The Megashifter. I do not like the "Ratcheting" system of the Megashifter At all.

If I were going to stay with an automatic, I would combine the mounting brackets, and case from the Megashifter and the Shifting body of the Star to make one great shifter.

When I get the 4-spd. in my truck, I'll have mine to sell, But that is going to be probably next summer.

Sounds good John,

I bought mine used, but the guy didn't have it in for any time at all, Still was in the box. I put it in my truck about three months ago,and It hasn't been driven but three blocks, just to do it. I need to get my front end aligned after the lowering job, before I can put it on the road.

I already have the 4 spd. and the linkage pieces for the change. I still need to buy a pressure plate, disk, and shifter before I can proceed with the conversion. But of course I want to leave my truck drivable until then.

Ron

I have a mega shifter I'd trade for a auto column and 4x4 auto linkages. I'd rather have the shifter up on the column again.

What's the difference in the linkage between the 2X4 and 4X4 ??

I think I still have everything from my changeover, I'll have to look.

Correct one?

Is it the correct one? Part number #80680. The Truck Megashifter. I take it you dont like it. Whats loose the mechanics of the shifter or just the "T" handle?

The handle is loose...I have no idea on the part # as it was in my truck when i bought it....it looks like the one you pic....might be the shorter one though....I liked it, but my truck isnt a racer and I like the clean stock look....The shifter is out at the shop, Tomorrow i'll take a look at it and take a snap shot of it too if you'd like.
