Stock height or small lift 4x4s tire size and lift

I have a 1981 stock longbed with negative front springs, is that normal or are they just extremely worn? I would like to put 33x12.50x15 tires on it with little to no lift, I'm going for the beefy, but stock look. Let me see some picks of your trucks and give info about lift and tire size! and brand of lift and how it rides please. Pic of my truck below

My 80 k10 Has 33/12.5/15s on it. I have a 2" rough country lift on it, it rides better than it did with old worn out springs, and old worn out shocks on it.

33s will not fit on the front with stock negative springs. They will be real tight on the rear also. 31s will fit on the front----barely. You could put a 3 leaf pack on the front and it will pick it up about 1-1/2-2''. Then you could put a 2'' block on the rear. I'm working through the logistics of this on my 91 suburban at the moment

Depends on offset of wheels. Buddy has mid 80s that is all stock and is running 33s on 8" rally's. Its close but fits/clears. Normally at least a 2" lift is enough to clear.

Your truck looks great! Thats about exactly what I'm looking for, Does that have blocks in the rear or springs?

Cochino12, if mine were a 3/4 ton, that is the wheels I'd have on it, the rallies and your factory alum wheels you have are the best looking wheels going.

Jayson, when you installed the 2 inch Rough Country lift how much did it actually lift your truck? Was it 2 inches? Or a little more or little less? Thanks

Yep. One can't really provide much more detailed info than what was posted.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Stock height or small lift 4x4s tire size and lift

You shouldn't have any issues running 33's without a lift, that's what I ran on my '78 K5. Here's a picture of my current project:

It's an '84 diesel K5 with 275/70R18 tires which are 33.2" according to the manufacturer's website. The truck is otherwise completely stock and I haven't had any signs of rubbing.
