Radio Delete Plates?
Can anyone post a pic of what the RADIO DELETE plates look like, either on a truck or off. The PO of my truck cut the dash and I thought I could make it work until today when I trial fit the stereo, it was slightly too big and not even level. So now I need to come up with a new idea. I want it to go into the original spot.

That a great idea chevy_fatman and thanks to you as well 68 Suburban. What kind of clips do they use, would it be enough to hold the weight of a stereo? I was thinking of using one of those and then cutting it correctly to mount the stereo. Or maybe just a piece of steel fabricated in. I just dont want it to look stuck on or......

to hold the deck into place you use the mounting sleeve in the hole, bend the tabs, that retains the front. The back is supported by a strap that mounts to a pre tapped hole in the back of the deck. The other end the strap i like to attach that to the big phillips head screws on the bottom of the dash

I used my radio delete plate for a cassette deck faceplate by drilling holes for the control shafts and using a nibbler to cut out the front rectangle. Came out pretty good. I sprayed it flat black, but I think if I had to do it today, I would have left the delete plate the original rpo 516 orange. BTW I found the piece rattling around inside the passenger door.
