Quick door alignment question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I did already search the forum but didn't get the info I'm looking for.
1970 c10
The passenger door sticks out past the cap on the lower latch side. The rest of the door is pretty close. I thought I would loosen the top hinge bolts on the door and push that out a touch but it's maxed out on adjustment.
1. Is this the adjustment I should do?
2. Since the hinge is already at max adjustment should I shim out the top hinge at the fender to achieve the same movement?

Seriously, I'm not sure as to where your misalignment is, so some photos would make all the difference.

Me too.... I'm not sure what you mean by "out past the cap on the lower latch side". Did you mean out past the cab?

Misalignment is the door sticks out past the cab corner. Rest of the door is pretty good. I'll post a photo when I get the repair panel welded on.

Is the window frame hitting the cab at the top front by the drip rail?

Not the drip rail, the cab BY the front drip rail. Like that corner is in too far. If it isn't I wouldn't get too far into the skin replacement until I determined if the door is tweek'd or not... If the door fits good everywhere but the bottom rear corner I would think something has to be bent somewhere, either the cab or the door. What kind of shape are the cab mounts in?

Funny. I just considered that. Cab mounts in poor shape.
Certainly not helping matter. I plan on changing them when I cut the frame to short bed.

I would change them before I did much body work or alignment. If you align everything or weld panels in and then replace the cab mounts you may have to do it all over again.
