help with crossmember & rear ID

need some help I see drawings of the rear and the pan hard bar bracket welded to the rear housing in shop manuals like the pictures that were sent to me.... are they specific to year or weight class c-20s or 30s and the crossmember with the bent out cut out for holding the brake line . I believe you can also make out the filler plug in the front of the rear sometimes called a corporate rear like my 67 3/4 c-20 had in it, not a 12bolt. My chassis the one I'm working on presently , is a 72 and the c-member has no provision for the brake line being routed that way I have 2 other 71 & 72 c10 1/2 tons set up without what I have described and you can see in these pictures. the member who sent me the pictures was sold the frame as a 72 did not specify weight class. Last is a picture of my Panhard bar c-member ( the one at the bottom)riddled with deep scaling rust reason why i want to buy something cleaner than what I have here but clean and correct. Can anyone shed some light on this for both me and the other member I'm dealing with. I am 99.9 percent sure the frame i purchased is of 72 vintage had a INL6 in it manual steering sway bar the last pic I posted

Never seen one like that but in a leaf spring dovetail Wrecker truck C30Never seen one on a coil spring.I think some one was tring to make something work for some stange reason cus the pan are bar is is a tight spot to get it out of there and where the drain plug is I doubt GM or even the Military would of done stuff like that.Remember.The whole point of have a working truck is being able to work on it and making it easy to work on said truck.I feel this might of been part of a Built by fisher body's or some coach body builder that got this frame after the factory and had a main use for it.Thats all i can say cus that looks like it would be a Bi-ch to work on to get the BAR out if you broke the bar

I'm not sure I quite understand the question or what you are asking for. However, below are three pictures I took during teardown of my '69 C20 with coils and Eaton (corporate) axle. Perhaps they'll help. Nothing passes through the crossmember.

Zicc maybe I did forget to mention that the 2nd pic you posted, one of the ones that I sent you, is 3/4 ton. Also looks funny cause the trailing arms and springs are off.

firstowner69 his pics interesting ....seems like a few different options for running brake line ...but as i thought the Pan hard bar setup is most likely a c-20 c-30 application

I didn't pay attention to the 3/4 ton I once had, but I'm thinking its a 20 & 30 and above application

Yea the pics that Firstowner69 put up are just the way the c20's pre '72 brake hose was run, from the frame rail instead of the cross member.
