65 c10 frame swap
Have a 65 Chevy c10 long box. I bought it already lifted and the owner was not sure wat king of frame it was sitting on, but the frame isn't in good shape..and the front axle is blown up. So I bought a 72 k30 to swap my 65 body over too...just want to kno if anyone has done this before and what kind of problems they have ran into

Re: 65 c10 frame swap
Frame horns will probably be your only real issue. The rear cab mounts also iirc.

Re: 65 c10 frame swap
I'm using a '71 frame & rear mounts, front frame horns plus the radiator support mounts MAY be different, but I don't have a '66K frame to compare to, just a C frame. And the frame horns are a little shorter in height than the '71 frame. Come to think of it I think the whole frame is about a 1/2" different in height.

Re: 65 c10 frame swap
It's highly discouraged for a 2wd because of the way it ends up sitting on the frame, but for a 4x4, I haven't heard anything in these forums good or bad.
