alternator warning light help request

My 66 c10 has a recent crate 350 with a march pulley system and alternator.
my wiring under dash is a mess, with China fuse box and only the main wiring to drive the truck is correct. The warning light wires and sockets are not there at all. i want to run direct wires and sockets etc from alt. to dash warning light. but am confused of the correct wiring route and hook up.
i have all the diagrams and books on the truck , but my lack of tech skill and knowledge make me very nervous on doing this.
would appreciate a simple layman list of instructions of what to wire point to point.
thanks Allan

Sounds like a ONE WIRE alternator you CAN NOT run charge light with one wire

Re: alternator warning light help request

Check if your alternator also has a 2 prong connector. Some newer alternators are convertible to allow for either the one wire connection or 3 wire (like mine). If so you can add the wiring to make it a 3 wire set up.
