QuadraJet Throttle Rod Connection Question
On my 69 350SBC with 350 TH, the throttle rod goes into one of two holes on the actuating plate on the primary throttle shaft. It is on the one that gives the quickest opening. The truck has lots of "jump" when you are just starting out from a stop. I bet the factory did this to make the truck seem more powerful for folks test-driving them at the dealer.
Is there any problem that anyone knows if I relocate the rod to the outer hole, which will give a more gentle throttle action? Picture should make it clear.

Re: QuadraJet Throttle Rod Connection Question
I have a 69 stick with the rod in the upper left slot. Also has a return spring
going to a bracket on the front of the intake manifold. May or my not be stock. The automatic has a different throttle rod bracket for the 350 shifter cable. I suggest running it in both slots and see which works best for you..
