Bolts for Steering column cover?

Does anyone have any idea what size/type of bolts are used for the steering column cover under the dash? I have the cover, just no bolts!!

There are actually two "covers". One is a large steel plate with 4 bolts (5/16-20) and the other is a tin cover that has 2 screws (#12 pan head sheet metal screws)

Re: Bolts for Steering column cover?

This one isn't tin. It's a heavier cover, so I'm guessing the 5/16-20.

What is that off of? Not too good a picture but it doesn't look like it is off of a '67-'72 GM truck....

Here is a picture of the '67-'72 GM steering column brackets and covers....

Re: Bolts for Steering column cover?

That was just a pic I found online. The cover I'm referring to is the black on in your pic.

...I'd have to check but I think those (2) h.duty phillips head screws are 1/4"-20NC threads.

Not 100% sure because they could have been changed, but I went out and removed one from my '72 Dually and it was a #12 black phosphate type pan head sheet metal screw. The two for the heater control that go through the bottom of the dash are 1/4-20 Black phosphate phillips head machine screws though.
