Stepside Bed
I can use a few pointer I have a 1969 step side c10 it has a 1973 step side bed mounted to it I would like a 67-72 bed on my c10 but they are hard to fine and costly if you fine one how can I change over the 1973 bed to a 67-72 it looks as if the mounting hole are different but what would need to be change to make a 73-87 bed work if it is possible.
thanks |

Re: Stepside Bed
The biggest problem is the front of the bed is different where the steps bolt up, it's "too short". It's been done before, but you have to weld in a section to mount the step to.
Here's a step by step (pun intended) thread Bill did on how to do it: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=123833

Re: Stepside Bed
No problem. Keep scouring craigslist and our parts forum. They do pop up for decent prices every now and then. With being able to buy complete brand new fleet beds relatively "cheap" now a days, a lot of steps are being converted to fleets.
