Looking into a 69 C10

Looking at buying this 69 c10. It is a custom from what I can tell, 350 with automatic, ac/ps/on runs and drives. Needs tires, rust in rockers and a cab corner. Has it cosmetic flaws but can be bought for 1,000. Is a 69 with these options worth that? Might be a driver or flip it for cash for another project..any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Only two pictures I have, don't know how to load a video but I have a couple of those as he walked around it to show me.

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Lets make this real easy . There is $3,000.00 worth of parts sitting there so just go buy and then decide what to do with it .

Back in the day, out west, that body style was known as a "Cowboy Coupe."

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Its a CST, top line cab for that year, and I see a hole where the gas tank fill is supposed to be. As was stated, for 1000.00 you can't go wrong. Do it !!

Gas tank and seat are back in it. Not a bad little pickup

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Get it.....or I'll swing by there after work today.....lol
Seriously....think of the first pic this way...
take the stuff off the hood
take the hubcap off the mirror and roll up the window
move the stuff leaning against the truck away
put $40 worth of 15" standard hubcaps on it
Hose and wipe the truck down for 5-10 minutes and wipe off the dust and grime.
....post a new pic. Total time spent 1 hr...maybe.
The price just up easily to $2000-$3000....at least in my opinion.

Get that truck.

With that cap on the back, the bed is probably in good shape. I'm with all the others.
$1000 is a slam dunk.
Show him $800 cash first and see what he says.

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Well I went and got it. Flashed the 800 cash and owned it. Fired it up and put it on the trailer until I can get it off of there and cleaned up

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Great deal and you should be able to get some of your money back if you sell the hood ornament.

Is it me or does that truck resemble the famous "farm truck" street racer?

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Have a set of 6 lug rally's for it, just need to find a set of rings and caps and they'll go on. Lights are all in working condition as well. Over all pretty pleased with it, just needs a real good bath and a new ignition so I don't have to pop the hood and touch a wire from the started to the battery to fire it up

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm in Kansas City right now but will be home later today to start tinkering on it. The pickup was on the furthest west end of the state that you can get then had to drive to the east side of the state to get to kc so I haven't even been home to get more pictures. But I know how everyone loves pictures so I'll get some. Need an ignition since the only way it'll run now is touching a wire to the battery

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Threw the baby moons and trim rings that were sitting in the cab and sprayed it off. Kind of like the look. It it's getting rally's anyway. Needs the usual, valve cover gaskets, full tune up. And of course doing away with the topper

Re: Looking into a 69 C10

Got the topper removed, full tune up done, started cleaning the inside out. Found the build sheet still under the seat which I'm glad because my glovebox sticker is unreadable. My timing is off a bit, not sure what the previous owner went through to get it running...he had a few things rigged up that didn't make sense. But my next step is valve cover gaskets, finding the right air cleaner and rebuilding the carb. Starting to get attached to the dang thing lol On another note, I have 15x8 rally wheels i will be putting on it, but my question is what size trim rings i will need? I believe i will probably need 15x3'' deep? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I will get pictures tomorrow to keep everyone happy haha
