Squarebody LED lights? Truck-Lite or JW Speaker?

Looking at upgrading to the LED lights by either Truck-Lite or JW Speaker, has anyone done this in their 80's grill style truck? I'm pretty solid on the rep of both companies and I've seen good feedback from other generations but I've searched and can't find anything on the squarebodies. Any feedback folks? Any pictures?

Thanks in advance!

Depends the size you need.I think the dual headlights take a 4x6 which i think only jw speaker has.I don't think you find many on a square body because of the price.

Thanks for replying Andrew. It is the 4" x 6" size and Truck-Lite does make them, model 27640C. I agree on the price, it's spendy but looking at the difference in light output and spread the LED headlights justifies the safety aspect for me. I live in a neighborhood without street lights and no sidewalks with people walking their dogs at night. So I'll trade the funky look and cost of the LED headlights for that peace of mind.

Here's a link of the LED headlights I'm considering, there's a bunch on there!

Have a great day!

I purchased the Truck-Lite 4x8 and I am very pleased. They are very bright on both dim and high beam. They have tabs on the lights that affect the fit and can be removed but I did not want to void the three year warranty in case of future problems. I would buy again.

Not sure if you've checked out LMC lately but they're now selling LED highlights for the 4"x6" trucks. They aren't cheap but they look like normal headlights and are supposed to be DOT approved. Food for thought if you haven't decided which one you want to get yet.

Thanks for the endorsement!

I've seen those on LMC, and I'm hesitant as there's no brand (but I'm a fan of LMC) and for just $30 more per light, I could get the Truck-Lite which has a very good reputation.

Thanks for feedback guys!

I know what you mean, the lack of info has kept me from buying them myself lol. Are you sure about the pricing though? Those Truck-Lites are $200-250/each at most places online so $800-1000 for a set of 4 vs the $500 LMC setup.

Headlight Revolution did a whole series of reviews/comparisons on YouTube for all of the different 4"x6" LED headlights that are definitely worth watching if you haven't already.

I should be specific and say I'm only changing out my low beams, I never ever use my high beams so I'd not waste the money.

And I've seen that video and they are the ones who sell it for $169 each for the low beams (Truck-Lite 27640C) on their webstore.

https://headlightsuperstore.com/truc...light-housing/

So at that price I could see myself changing out my low beams.

Thanks for the info Anthony!
