Wiper arm garbage. Looking for later model arms.
I have ordered 2 sets now of wiper arms and blades and am super disappointed by the crappy quality. After $160 and two strikes I am in search of black, not chrome, wiper arms off of a later model vehicle that fit our trucks and look and perform better. Are all the post sizes the same as far as spline count, size, etc.? My truck is blacked out so I would prefer black. Just don't want to start ordering parts that won't fit the splined mount correctly. Anyone else dealt with this? Has to be vehicles out there in the pick-n-pulls that are a direct fit. Thanks!

To fit later model wiper arms you are going to have to either reconfigure the entire wiper arm system or rework the later model arms to work with the original configuration. Everything from '67 and up use longer wipers.

Take a look at this thread, I found some arms that work well on my '66. Still working well a year later. Not black, but you could paint them. |

I used some NOS wiper blades and they worked good, on repop wiper arms.

Well it seems that along with outer door glass wipers, the wiper arms are another part that someone could make for our trucks that would work properly.
