Mirror Options ?

Anything new in options for the mirrors? I like the look of sport mirrors but we all know they are not good. I have a set of '71 DG4 and a set of '72 DG4 mirrors but looking for some options. Thanks.

Re: Mirror Options ?

I give, how do we all know sport mirrors aren't good, because they're small and/or don't suit hauling?

Until I installed two sets yesterday, I never had them before (nor any mirror on my Chevys over the last 15-20 years).....Personally I like them A LOT......

Re: Mirror Options ?

Sport mirrors. Maybe originals, I think the repros don't move far enough to get the passenger side adjusted so you can see out of it well.
I also like the 72 DG-4's if you really need mirrors such as for towing on a regular basis. For occasional towing I would get some fender mounts and just use the sport mirrors.

I never use the RH mirror anyway, you have a huge rear window right in your face if you need to see something. Plus most of the cars I have owned don't have a RH mirror because they were made that way in the 60's and 70's

Ha ha, I forgot about that. I'm "reminded" of something I heard recently I'd long forgotten, being the dead warning lens (temp?) on a gauge cluster.

I use mirrors a lot, primarily because there's a cap on my Tundra. But I see what you guys mean, the RH has some real limitations.
