Headlamp ring

I replaced the bulb on my '87 c20 that has single headlamps (I have two headlamps total, each with an integral hi/low beam).
Unfortunately I broke the tabs on the headlamp retaining ring.
I see Dorman offers a replacement kit http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-7574...Kit&origin=YMM

I dont want the whole kit for $50 https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-42437-...s=dorman+42437, I just want the ring for my 6054 bulb.

I see there are rings for the same bulb, on jeeps https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-42430-...s=Dorman+42430 and fords http://www.ebay.com/itm/Headlight-Re...3D172153263670 and chevy s10's http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-S10-He...RWwdrY&vxp=mtr

Will any of these other rings that fit 6054 bulbs fit my c20?
Is GM p/n 5969466 the correct part number for the ring?

Re: Headlamp ring

Common for the tabs to break when removing the ring after all these years. I would try to find one at a recycle yard near you. The Jeep ring may work but not sure if the tabs are in the same place as your original.

Re: Headlamp ring

Most of these trucks are gone by me, rusted and crushed years ago. Only the more valuable late model cars remain.

Anyone else know the answer?

Re: Headlamp ring

You can use a Dorman 42407, which retails for about $10. It has more than one set of mounting holes in the tabs, so it fits many different GM, Ford, Dodge, Jeep, etc models that use the 6052/H6054 sealed beams.

Re: Headlamp ring

I got the Dorman 42407 from Amazon and it fit great.
No more "headlight droop" on one side!
