Looking for Dash & Gauge Info
New to this forum as we just got a 70 C10. It has no covering on the dash itself and most of the gauges do not work.
Eventually we want to replace all the gauges and re-do the dash. Is there a specific category that addresses these issues or where is the best place to look for info and ask questions, which we will have many. Thanks for you help! |

Re: Looking for Dash & Gauge Info
You can ask here. If you join the forum you can buy all your parts here. OEM parts are the way to go if you can find them.

Welcome to the board. The dash pad is replaceable but there are a couple of different ones, and you want to be sure to get one with a metal core. If you have to remove the instrument cluster that is the time to install a new dash pad..... Before you replace any gauges let us know which ones don't work and the symptoms they show. Many times it isn't the gauge itself but the component that controls it that is bad.. LockDoc

Re: Looking for Dash & Gauge Info
Welcome to the board!...you will get some great info and assistance here.
If you want to kick off some momentum on your project and some feedback on it....post up a few pics. A lot of the guys will be able to weigh in on what you might need, or should look for, etc....based on the pics alone.....we are a visual bunch...lol. As for the dash, some of the back connections just might not be hooked up? and the main harness might be unplugged. Does the truck run and drive? All good Coley
