69 C10 Custom Hood design
About got my hood finished (ALL METAL) NO PLASTIC OR FIBERGLASS. Fully functional Ram Air (Sealed around air filter).

Even though I did a ram air design. My though was two part. One that you could have both the ram air (clean air) and vent the engine at the same time. Notice the vents are exactly the same as the cowl vent under the front windshield.
I just got the Al sheet metal to be riveted in under the bottom. I do have the ABS under cover from LMC. So under the hood you wont see what is going on. I did get some LED lights from Oracle to be triggered (selectable) off the Tach signal from the Dakota digital. ITS ORANGE LED. Might be tachy but thought it would be cool. If it looks bad, i'll just hit the switch where it wont be lite. Plus there is a second light that turns on (selectable) when parking lights come on. |
