Vent window riveting
Today I put the new weatherstrips on the passenger side door vent window. I got the weatherstrip, rivets, and rivet-setting punch from GMC Paul. The work was OK and I got it done, but using that rivet-setting punch is unpleasant. I ended up using screws in a couple of places. I prefer these regular rivets instead of pop-rivets, but I don't like the tool I used. I would rather use a clamping-type tool that has enough reach. Does anybody here on the forum make and/or sell a nifty tool for this? I know some of you guys are really good at making stuff, so I thought I would ask.

Re: Vent window riveting
You might shoot a message to Hart_Rod he just talked about using one in his SuperBurb build.

Re: Vent window riveting
Thanks guys, that looks like the one to get. Thanks Terry B for the phone discussion. I followed your tips and it worked out. I came across several points that would have had me fumbling around if not for your guidance. I started with the passenger side, and later on I'm going to do the driver's side even better.
