Smile L5P Duramax

Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences on the new L5P Duramax? I am looking to upgrade my 2011 LML daily driver that is getting close to 200,000 miles. I know what "they" say in not buying the first year of a new design but my LML was the first year duramax with DEF and it has been the best truck i have ever owned (except for my Jimmy of course). I did delete it with EFI Live at about 120,000 miles. LOL! Opinions?

Re: L5P Duramax

I can tell you I love mine 8500 miles and no complaints I've towed my Contender across the state a couple times now and drive it everyday for. The throttle response and power is instantaneous almost like a tuned truck. The peak tq is at 1500 rpms if I remember right so it never really has to down shift.

Re: L5P Duramax

The only down side I've heard on the new Duramaxes is there may not be a way to tune them. Or it will be a very long time until they figure out a way to get it done.

The l5p does have new software that has been a monster to crack but ezlynk already has monitoring out and is working on tuning and afe already has a plug in module that is +60 hp and +120tq.
