audio experts step in even non experts
OK while I love a rocking concert sounding system I am no expert on building one.
Suggestions on speakers , locations, receiver and amps welcomed Vehicle 1969 panel. Have one alpine V12 amp. Maybe add one more Ideas are 6.5's coaxial(4) two kick panels and two mid ways first side bays little over half way up,2- 6x9's near rear maybe 2/3's back and small sub at rear corner. Reciever wise Kenwood,Alpine or pinoneer are first choices. Speakers about same. Not big budget but hate buying twice because first was cheap way out and busted in 2 weeks. Music mostly rock 60's,70's,80's and some later.ZZ top,Aerosmith,Nugent,Seagar,Guns and roses,Motley crue and you get idea are most common. yea lots of base in most. This how I found out about bass limiters and speaker life.LOL Too much? Totally off base?

Definitely not an expert but a lot of experience in car audio.
I would go with what you are planning. Turn the 6x9s down enough you just can't hear them from the drivers seat or you will get a horrible delay (echo). For deck I would go with kenwood or pioneer. Amps rockford fosgate or jl. Speakers rockford or jl. And a good quality 10" sub. You will probably need to run 2 4 channels amps. I would do a 4 channel for the (4) 6.5s. Then run one set of rca outs to the front 2 channels of the second amp and bridge the rear 2 channels for your sub. The other option is to run a 5 channel and then run the rear set of 6.5's off of the radio. There are a lot of other good quality amps/speaker brands out there but they are not as well known. But this all depends on where you want to buy stuff and what you want to spend. A few great company's I have used are: http://store.crescendoaudio.com/ http://www.sundownaudio.com/ http://hybrid-audio.com/ |

No I didn't but... that is a good one. lol.
FYI, installed professionally for several years and have been doing it on the side for the last 15 years or so. But trust me I'm not an expert at ANYTHING, just ask my wife. |
