New from Oklahoma
Thanks for letting me in! I recently bought a 66 Chevy C10 LWB and am fixing to get started doing a few things to it before just driving it. I mainly just plan to lower it, swap out the wheels and tires, clean up a few things, and make it a good driver. It has a pretty healthy 350 in it and a 3-speed OD, so is already fun to drive. I have had several old Chevy pu's, but haven't had a 60-66 that I have driven much since high school. I am also fixing to start rebuilding a 52 Chevy pu for one of my son's to be his daily driver. He is 12 now, so I need to get started since it is a pile of parts right now. For any of you that might use Sid Drapal for your dropped axles in your 59 and older Chevy pu's, we have been good friends for about 25 years and I am the one that wrote a couple tech articles on www.droppedaxles.com
Anyway, I have already spent some time in the 60-66 forum checking out the static dropped thread pics to decide how much to drop my 66, so thanks for all the information. Jeff Smith Guthrie, OK Last edited by guthriesmith; 06-08-2017 at 07:47 AM. |

Re: New from Oklahoma
Looks like you have your work cut out for you. Looks like another old Chevy in the woods there. You will be getting a lot of help on here. Have fun from Florida
