Question about ride heights
My truck was already lowered when I bought it. It looks like maybe a 2 inch drop on the front (purely guessing). How can I tell what drop I have, and what kind of drop has been done to it? I'd like to look at some shocks, and need to know how much my truck has been lowered. Any way to tell this?
Thank in advance! ![]() |

Ride height from the ground may vary from truck to truck depending on wheel and tire sizes. Its really difficult to tell without seeing the components you currently have under the truck.

Re: Question about ride heights
Previous owner only had the truck for a couple months and didn't do anything to it

Re: Question about ride heights
Picture of the truck and tire sizes? I'm betting we can guess and get really close. Maybe pictures underneath? Parts installed now vs stock might clue us in on the drop heights.
Measure from the ground to the top of the fender lip and we could also compare that to a stock restored truck. Original coil springs will have sagged over the years too so it may not be lowered at all it might just be the springs are getting weak.

Re: Question about ride heights
Just guessing, I am thinking that by top and bottom mounts, he may be talking the shock mounts, like I said, guessing here.
