After in cab gas tank relocation
On my 68 I'm going to move the gas tank to the back of the truck.
What has everyone done with covering up the back wall of the cab? Carpet? Did you leave the flanges with the mounting nuts for the gas tank strap? I was thinking about cutting them down and then just welding a small plate on each one to make the back panel more or less smooth. Anyone have any pics? |

Re: After in cab gas tank relocation
Many will fabricate a panel to hold speakers or storage compartments, then cover it with their choice of fabric. That's what I plan to do.

I am going to build a box to house my stereo head unit and amp and also make extra storage room for whatever I may need

Re: After in cab gas tank relocation
I used spray adhesive and glued speaker box carpet back there, on top of my ebay-dynamat. I put a small sub box back there and have plenty of room for other stuff. I'm still in the middle of getting the tank under the bed. You know, snowball effect...
