Another truck shipping thread

Sorry....I know this has beem asked before but my search function will not work...anybody have that problem on their cell phone? Anyways Im looking for shipping suggestions from Portland area to North central Illinois. I was given one suggestion and got a quote for 1100. I bought a suburban a few years back in Seattle and it cost 800 so I didnt want to jump on the 1st quote. Thanks in advance for your help. The vehicle getting shipped is a 70 gmc jimmy.

Re: Another truck shipping thread

I have had success 5 times using Kathy Gant as a broker. She actually lives in the Portland area and her phone is 503-985-6161. You can use me as a reference (George with 2 1970 Chevy pickups in the past 2 months). Good luck. I have found that shipping in summer is more expensive than shipping in winter, and it is cheaper if you are on an established shipping route at both the beginning and the end.

Re: Another truck shipping thread

Do you mind if I ask where you had your trucks shipped from and what you paid for shipping? Thanks for the info

Re: Another truck shipping thread

A few months ago I used www.patriottransportusa.com. (Mike)
503 914 9859 And within a couple hours he had the truck picked up and 2 days later it was at my house. I am no way connected with his company or met him before but I would Highly recommend him to anyone needing a vehicle moved. He picked up a 72 c10 from Portland and delivered to Omaha Nebraska 800 was the amount I paid. He is a broker but was recommended from a person that has used his services several times in the past.

Thanks for the replies. George, I did call Kathy since she is right across the river and she is very nice. Her rate is comparable to the others(actually slightly lower.) I did mention you and she was grateful.
