Side glass installation steps

Does this sound correct for a 1972 pickup, first goes the side glass, then vent window assembly, then the felt and rubber moldings? Having trouble fitting the outside molding. Help appreciated.

Id probably put the vent window assembly in and not bolt up, then put the side glass in.

A helper is key for this cause you only have 2 hands and need 5.

Read post #9 in this thread. If you have time, the whole thread is a good read.

Wink Re: Side glass installation steps

The best advice i can give you is to leave the rear track loose.I put side glass in . Unbolt the rear track at the bottom of the door (latch side) and the push the side glass towards the rear of the truck. Then install the vent window. I then put the channel felt in the top door frame. Roll the window up. Then bolt up the bottom of the rear channel . Then install the lower portion of the window channel rubber in the track. Its a bit tuff to start it with the window up and in place but once you start it, it will walk down easy. Its near inpossible to do it with out compleatly unbolting that rear track and letting it float in there. With that said once you figure it out you can do a door by yourself in about 15 min.
