72 Highlander Build

Well, this was supposed to start out as having just my transmission rebuilt to get the truck on the road, but one thing lead to another and then I ended up with a pile of parts on the way and the motor is getting a facelift as well. I plan to give the truck a full restore before its over but want to get it back on the road now for a little more enjoyment first. But ill start out with what all I've done to the truck and get some pictures added.

I bought it about 2 years ago now and started by just cleaning it up and adding a HEI unit to it.

This round
I ended up pulling the whole front end off the truck to clean everything up a bit, but then decided since I was so close to having the motor out I might as well yank it and really clean up the engine.

Transmission-2100 Stall Convertor, Stage 1 shift kit, all internals checked out

Motor Upgrades-
Cam/Lifters-Lunati Voodoo Cam and Lifter Kits 10120702LK
Closes Heavy-Duty Timing Sets
Summit Racing-Harmonic Balancer
Edelbrock 2101 Intake Manifold
Edelbrock Tall valve covers
Stock QJet is being rebuilt
Summit Racing-Headers
Taylor spark plug wires

Exhaust-TBD-Probably have a local exhaust shop finish header back

Take a peak!

This is were I'm currently at, next to do list is fabricating a new alternator bracket to clear the valve covers then. By then I'm hoping my new plug wires show up so I can get them all ran clean prior to putting and body work back on.

Re: 72 Highlander Build

Transmission is coming back this week after the rebuild. Hopefully I can get the alternator bracket built this evening and work on getting the transmission back in this weekend. Then i can switch from photos to videos!
