56" springs for rear with 2" lift?
I Installed 2" tuff country EZ springs in the front of my 71 blazer but still have the stock 52" springs on the rear with an add a leaf to level it. I would like to put a 56" spring in the rear to give a softer ride but don t want to do a 4" lift with a shackle flip like most of the threads out there. I would like to get a 2"-3" lift out of the 56" spring. How would I do this? I have no clue if mounts need to be moved or if I need longer shackles or etc? would appreciate any advice.. Thanks, Mike

Re: 56" springs for rear with 2" lift?
I bought a blazer and was told by the PO it had a 6 inch lift never did any checking bought a 4 soft ride. The PO was wrong old lift was a 4. I have another blazer that I have had since 1981 when there were no lift kits that didn't include blocks. My dad knew what he was doing. took other leafs tapered them and added them to the stock leafs. Its a 2-3 inch lift best riding blazer of the 3 I own. I started a thread a while back asking the questions about lowering my new 4 inch lift down, There was multiple replies from guys who started by removing the wedge at the bottom to other combinations they removed to get the height they wanted. All said they rode fine

What would I do to install 56" springs with using stock perches and how much of a lift would I get?

Re: 56" springs for rear with 2" lift?
The key to a better ride isn't the 56" spring its the company you buy the 52" spring from. The process that the springs are made with and assembled can vary from company to company. Hence the price difference on lift kits. Other wise go with stock springs and use blocks for the height.
