No, Cab Lights were evidently an Option.
I wish it wasn't, lol. My '72 C-30 also does not have them.

They were only standard on a dual rear wheel optioned cab and chassis.

Re: Did all C/30 1 tons come with cab lights?
As Joe said, cab lights are only standard on duallies and cab and chassis. Why are they standard you ask? Because the law says anything over 80" wide requires clearance lights. Same with todays trucks.

Re: Did all C/30 1 tons come with cab lights?
Anything with a GVW over 10,000# falls under ICC regulations. Dual rear wheel option brings GVW to 10,000#, single rear was below. If it has a glovebox door w/SPID you can verify the model and the dual rear conversion option.
The lights became mandatory by '69. Before that the one tons all had same roof panel and the lights (tear drop) were an option or add-on/upfit.

Re: Did all C/30 1 tons come with cab lights?
Special -k - Our factory lights were hockey puck style like was available in 67-70 I believe. We had to settle for the "firemans hat" because I could not find hockey puck lenses when I replaced mine.

Re: Did all C/30 1 tons come with cab lights?
OK, although it is more rare than I expected, I am finding other '69 to '72 C-30 Dual Wheel trucks online "without" Cab Lights on them.
As mentioned above, my '72 C-30 does not have them. Although the truck was reconditioned by one of the previous owners, I believe the Cab is original to the truck. ???

Re: Did all C/30 1 tons come with cab lights?
Thanks for all the help guys. I went ahead and got the cab yesterday and it does check out as a 1 ton but was only a single wheel truck. Now to get the cab $witched , Im just not sure about the legal process here in Iowa yet. Anyone know? I suppose my vin will now be that of the cab and not the frame?

Is there a title with the replacement cab? If so, I would just use it. LockDoc

Yes it has a clear title but it was a 1 ton 2 wheel drive and the cab is going on my 4x4.

Re: Did all C/30 1 tons come with cab lights?
There may have been some '70s come through with the '69 style cab lights, but I've never seen one that was orignal. The ones people call fireman's hat (helmet) came out in '70, it's stamped on the Guide lenses and all the original '70s I've seen or owned had that 70-91 style.
Title. I know what I'd do but we can't talk about that on here. You could go either way. The 2wd's cab's title is no big deal. The truck could have been converted to 4wd. The only issue would be selling. It would be seen as a conversion where it really is a real one. You could hang onto your 4wd title to offer the buyer, along with the glovebox door and any other items you have with the VIN on them so they could go whatever direction they want with that.
