1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
This is a black Cheyenne Super glove box door. The wood grain is in decent shape with a little fading. It is a little thin in one area. The emblem looks nice and so does the pushbutton. I do not have the arm that mounts it. $70 plus shipping. Thank you

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
After looking at the door a little closer this morning, I see it is black paint over blue paint(the SPID calls for med blue). There is a bead of silicone on the upper edge of the aluminum backing plate for the woodgrain. I am posting a couple more pictures for clarity:

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
Weird, has it been cut and put back together in a different arrangement? It looks different than any Ive seen, and its falling back apart. Look at left edge scrollwork, it was cut from right section and rearranged.

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
I knew it was off too, I think it's more likely it fell off and broke, someone the glued it back on matching the smooth outside edges together

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
I did not even notice that but I am glad you pointed it out. I felt kinda silly posting this many pictures of a glove box door, but I am glad I did now.

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
Man, this is really weird. I am holding an identical (to the one Shinysideup posted) super emblem in my hand and I see no way that anyone could cut it and put it back together. The only way I see this could happen is that the "Cheyenne" and "Super" are two separate pieces inside the emblem and moved around before the emblem was pressed in manufacturing.
Mike, maybe you should up the price for a "one-off' kinda like that rare penny with the mis-strike

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
No, the one I have is just like the picture that you posted and all the others I have seen. Mike's emblem on the glovebox door is the only one I have seen that is a deviation of the standard. I edited my previous post hopefully to make it clearer

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super glove box door
Thanks for posting, I don't really know what to do with this one. I may just donate it to science or something. Thanks to everyone who posted for the input on the glove box door. I'd much rather catch something like that before any money changes hands. This is just a part of my ongoing education.
