1967 Original Window Crank ?
Been playing with these trucks for a good many years, parted a few, owned several but have never thought about this before. Are the original '67 truck window cranks styled a bit different than the later '68-71 and the one year only (deeper grooves) '72 style? I ask because I recently was digging thru some odd parts in the stash and came across a window crank that appears to be the same as later styles other than the knob. Seems all the knobs I have seen were a black or clear color, this knob matches the circular swirl pattern the same as the crank center but the knob is chromed metal and not plastic. Part # on the crank is 5719477, Tried a search but with the Photo Bucket fiasco a LOT of past pics are disappearing, huge bummer there. Many thread speak of '67 window cranks but did not find a definitive picture. Thanks for any help, STILL learning about these trucks,
![]() Will post a pic of the window crank in question later today along side the usual style I am familiar with. Added couple pics of the window cranks. Upper window crank is the one in question, looks "almost" identical to the lower crank with black knob. Black knob crank is numbered 9715291 B5F Hard to see but the round rim portion of the black knob crank has a narrow outer rim and wider inner, angled rim. Just the reverse on the chrome knob crank, thicker outer rim and narrow inner rim. "Maybe" GM car from same time period?

No pics at the moment, but yes, 67 window cranks and door handles are different. Even the outside door handles are slightly different.

Re: 1967 Original Window Crank ?
Pulled these from a 67 C-30. No reason to think they are not original.

Re: 1967 Original Window Crank ?
It's pretty crazy how many unique parts 67's have being the first year of the generation. Too me 67's are purely elegant yet very utilitarian.....what more could you need in a truck.
Here's a thread that was started awhile ago that tells alot. I would like too see a similar thread with the unique 72 only parts. I don't think there is as many as a 67 though. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=535832
