Rear Axle ?
Has anyone ever swapped a 12 bolt from 73-81 into 88-98 truck. Any major modifications? Truck is 88 and rear would be from 78. Thanks in advance.

Re: Rear Axle ?
Move spring perched and shock mounts. Prolly a conversion joint too.

Re: Rear Axle ?
Since the 10 bolt has a larger pinion shaft, it is stronger than the truck 12 bolt. Plus there are millions of 1988-1999 axles out there for less than it may take you to modify the 12 bolt to work on your truck.
