Re: Can we get 3/4 ton custom camper wheel photos

I have both dog dish hub caps on original split rims and aluminum slots for my 70 Longhorn. I just recently found a nice set of slots with brand BF Goodrich tires on them at the flea market for 100 bucks! If you find a set of slot make sure they are either 15 or 16 inch rims. Mine are 16.5's . Tires are pretty hard too find for 16.5's. I wouldn't have bought them if they didn't have brand new tires on them.. I like how my truck looks with the original setup as well as the slots.. I'll get pics on here as soon as I can upload them to Photobucket...

Re: Can we get 3/4 ton custom camper wheel photos

Id like a little more info on the 17 inch slots. I go kicking and screaming into the larger wheels, but I guess 17's arent a lot bigger than my 16.5's

They make 16.5 tires in 33's if you are talking about 4x4 tires.

Re: Can we get 3/4 ton custom camper wheel photos

Steel wheels with no hubcaps. That's how you usually saw wide steel wheels run back in the day on 8-luggers. Most guys ran black, some painted body color, and there were the good old white ones. Or, if you have to have hubcaps the '76-91s are very nice hubcaps. The nly reason I run the correct ones is because I'm into as close to factory as I can. The later caps I always felt looked better. They make a nice effect when rolling and stand out nicely. All the non-correct stuff guys do on their trucks yet they pay crazy prices for correct hubcaps. On C/10s people have run rallyes from the same years. Hubcap and wheel swapping between years has always been a popular enhancement to vehicles.

68 Custom Camper 50th

With 80's Chev wheels, hubcaps and trim rings.

2"/4" lower...... wheels painted flat green and removed the hubcaps.

I have now mounted a set of 08 hubcaps with the green wheels but have not photos on the truck yet. Here are the hubcaps I made work with new lug nuts.

Here is a thread on 8 lug wheels. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=330740
