brake pads/shoes

what brand of brake pads/shoes are high quality but easy on the wallet? im gone need new brakes in the next couple of weeks

Recently I've used Wagner pads. Not the most expensive you can get, but I've had pretty good luck with them (quiet).

Now, keep in mind, I don't run a fast truck that needs "high performance" braking, but stopping is stopping - it's always pretty important.

i get up to 80-110 on the interstate and need something that wont fail under high heat

I don't think my truck would go that fast, unless you are talking km/hr. Well, you are up north...

I have been using the better quality Raybestos stuff for years, and have been happy with them. The price is reasonable at Pep Boys, especially if you ask them to match the Auto Zone price for their "equivalent" parts.

i use the stuff from pep boys too its usually pretty good and ive never had a problem

brake pads

I'm using ceramic pads from Autozone and am extremely pleased with them. Their metalic pads did squel constantly. I've never had any luck with stuff from Pepboys, but my last straw with them WAS over 10 years ago. Never went back...
