Of all my favorite things to do, The utmost is to have a brew.
My love grows for my foamy friend, with each thirst-quenching elbow bend.
Beer so frosty, smooth, and cold it's paradise pure liquid gold.
Yes beer means many things to me that's all for now cus I gotta pee.

The fuel line will be 5/16" or 3/8" depending on the engine size original to your truck. Measure steel tube. If you disconnect your line at the top of the tank first you will lose very little fuel changing the hoses.

only way to tell at what point your tank is empty, it to run out of gas.
I do this on all old vehicles within a week of buying them...just toss a 5 gallon can in the bed when you see that you're getting low.
And don't forget to fill that can up.

If your truck came with an inline or a 2 bbl small block, then you should have 5/16 fuel line.
If you had a 4 bbl small block, or a big block, then you should have a 3/8 inch fuel line.

If you disconnect the main fuel line that is screwed into the sending unit ,that will not let fuel syphon through the line. John
