I saw a red on red a while back. It didn't look "right" but it looked good. Sorry, I don't have pictures.

The one below is one I saw several years back. It's gray over copper and it looked really sharp.

Re: Going to paint my hardtop not sure on color

Bumping this thread as I would like to see if others have painted hardtop a color other than black or white.

My top needs repairs so will be repainting, and depending on my final interior color I am thinking possibly of a darker gray or tan.

Truck will be painted white, currently has a black top which I find is a very strong contrast, and white top tends to disappear and looks like a wagon.

I know you said "other" than black or white, but I really don't think this gets lost in the vehicle.

I had it Rino lined with the original color of white.

Good luck in your search.

Don't get me wrong I think that there is nothing wrong with white on white, that Jimmy looks awesome, just wanted to look at an option. Just something with a small contrast

I think the white is perfect for orange, bright yellow, red, blue etc. and wouldn't hesitate to go that way.

I think a tan/saddle might look good on a Medium olive truck

Thanks for the comments.

I almost went with a blue, to match the interior color. I just thought it may be going too far out of the norm for the vehicle.

The tan/saddle color would look incredibly good on the medium olive. I've seen that color combination with the interior color. Looks good!

Just remember how hot things get in the summer with a darker color

It's not a hard top, but this is what my Blazer looks like with a tan soft top.

I think silver on white would look pretty cool too!
