Are you gonna alternate them? Or are you doing two trucks?

Beautiful Wood! I was going to have a friend get me some exotic wood and cut it to fit.

These are for 2 different 67 trucks , I've got a few 67 short bed builders still left in the barn . I started buying them BEFORE they went to crazy prices .

Re: Gorgeous Bed wood

If my dad hadn't of made a bed out of 1/8" steel I would put in a nice wood bed.

Re: Gorgeous Bed wood

That's some nice looking wood Grumpy.
Mine is Carolina Ash done in a Minwax Medium Oak stain with 4 Coats of Marine Spar Varnish, sanded between each coat. I went with the Ash because it's a Very durable, solid wood.

That is beautiful Gary, Ash has been one of the hot sellers for us. And you are correct it is very durable with beautiful character and grain

Thank you Larry. Not trying to step on Grumps thread, just thought I'd show what Ash looks like once finished. I could've bought any kind of wood, but after much looking around and research I choose the Ash. If I had a light color truck I would have gone with a Walnut or other dark wood.

Not stepping on no toes here, thanks for posting. I just noticed your bed is done with all the same width boards and the wheel well flange is hidden. That is a sweet customization

Well, I can't take credit for it, it's a Bruce Horkey "Show Deck". I did the finishing, but they did the cutting.

Re: Gorgeous Bed wood

Man when I see that it make me envious. That is some true craftsmanship in the finished product there.

Yet then again I am a daily driver kind of guy and get full use of my hard working truck.

If I had the money and time I would use that wood bed and make it work instead of it being a work of art and craftsmanship.

Re: Gorgeous Bed wood

Those are really nice, two of my favorite woods to work with. Both smell very nice. Iroko on the other hand makes me break out in a rash as if I rolled in poison oak... its bad.
I need to do a floor for a friends 65 will probably be either oak or ash depending on which is cheaper.
