A New Thread! Headline color/s?
In the process of giving the "Custom" interior of my 69 Sub some new life. Having 3 original style seat covers made by Cars Inc in Michigan. And having all of the panels cleaned, reapplied, dyed and fixed up as "new" as they can get them by a local shop.
The body color is 504 - yellow/green and all of the trim is saddle. But the Sub did not have the headliner when I bought it, but I was lucky enough to get a complete set of original headliners from another member knowing they weren't usable, but usable for patterns. The local shop, doing the panels, is going to make a new complete headliner with vinyl covering - the vinyl material that has the perforated holes that match almost perfectly the original perforated board. My question is - were the original headliners the same color as the rest of the trim? Was wondering if an off-white or parchment would work - or if I should stick with all "from the factory" colors...?? |

Re: A New Thread! Headline color/s?
My OE headliner is parchment as is the rest of the interior originally (changing to saddle)
I don't know if the headliner ever came in other colors.

Yeah...I'm thinking parchment / off, off white as well, but I'm not opposed to a saddle headliner if that's how they came. The guys at Tx Auto Trim think the headliner should match the panels. Google is having some trouble finding anything on this subject for me!
So, you are changing your parchment to a saddle? Man, I'd love to come up and see that! |
