6 cyl. temp sender location?
I've got a sender in the cylinder head on the drivers side front and one in the thermostat housing facing the drivers side, both with wires attached to them. I'm trying to install aftermarket mechanical gauges. Which one should I use for the new gauge? BTW, I currently have an idiot light cluster and I'm pretty sure the hot light works.

Use the one on the head for the temp. gauge.

Re: 6 cyl. temp sender location?
I was thinking that was the better option, unfortunately, with a Clifford intake, I couldn't get a wrench around the sender without removing the intake (and of course exhaust, because they share mounts), so since I wasn't up for that much work, I used the thermostat housing location. Come to find out, my truck runs about 195 on the interstate. All i knew before was that it didn't trigger the cooling idiot light.

Re: 6 cyl. temp sender location?
I have an Offy intake and no interference at all. Headers are Cliffords.
