Re: I Guess the SWB Trucks are really going up in Value

Why that there's what they call a double collectible...Coke and Chevy!!! The Coke paint job adds so much value the "growth" in the bed doesn't hurt the value. One other thing is the rarity being a 350 1bbl. That has to be the only one...or is it a 4bbl with hickory nuts in 3bbls? Also rare to see a SWB. Never saw less than a 3/4t and usually set up with racks and lift gate for vending machine delivery by local distributors. I didn't think the factory (I think he meant bottling plant) made small deliveries. Ya never know I guess. If no documentation, it could be the guy painted it up 20 years ago and let it set to "grow" patina. Lastly, he says "regretfully selling". Really? What's to regret if he gets $15k for that thing he never so much as washed, let alone get running. I wonder who's name is on the original title. I'd buy it right now, but I collect Pepsi

If I lived 15 minutes from that truck I'd go see it just to meet and get a read on the seller..

Neither. It definitely does NOT have a 1 barrel carburetor.
Look again- he says it's got a 1 barrel 'carbonator' which is, of course, entirely appropriate for a Coke truck!

I wonder how much work it needs. I bet it's got a tap under the hood. I hear about trucks that belonged to the owner's pop before but this one belonged to a pop company. It has sat so long the rear fluid is probably syrup. Are those bubbles coming through the paint I see? No doubt this truck is The Real Thing

The pictures tell the story...all 3 of them! Blows me away someone pays $50-60 for an EBay ad and puts 3 whole pictures up. It's the same cost to put up to 12 pictures. You can post up to 24 pictures total. The additional 12 pictures would have set him back another $1.80!

I would love to see the paint code on the SPID. I asked him if he could post a picture of it but no response.

Re: I Guess the SWB Trucks are really going up in Value

Attempted to email this guy to get an address so I could go check the truck out...

He has all email contact blocked on the ebay account that posted the ad...

Seems a bit suspicious, so I have asked a couple of my "blue blood friends" to check out the situation....

I would stay clear of this one...not that I see the asking price as anything like being realistic...

There is no truck for sale. We're all safe. The left front tire lost all it's fizz. Gone flat.

Sometimes too many pics tell too much of the story.....
