Firestone 9000 bag mounts

I have a set of F9000 bags that I got at a swap meet. I'm about ready for the install on my trailing arms. I did not get any mounts with them, are they required for the bottom? Can they sit on the training arm? I know other style bags have mounts, I just can't find any exact answers about this tapered style.

If anyone has pics of their set up, I would like to see them.
